NeoConstant Journal

A few days ago I was invited to contribute to a new and quickly growing online political magazine. I gladly accepted. NeoConstant is a grassroots journal of politics and foreign affairs from a Neoconservative perspective. All articles I place there will also be posted on this blog but that shouldn't stop anyone taking a look at the other contributors.

As some readers have probably noticed, my political stance has gradually moved from the Liberal Democratic to the NeoConservative position. This is not exactly true regarding many social and domestic issues but is an exact definition of my foreign policy and international outlook. I do believe this philosophy is vital for the latter if we are to keep our democratic and cultural values, and remain 'free' from tyranny and oppression.

We are observing the reappearance of the dumbing down of the populace through a generation of miseducation, the tightening of the reins of control by the burgeoning State, the elimination of the concepts of right and wrong, good and evil, under the banner "tolerance" which is so vague that opposing oppression is seen as oppressive in itself and the increasing moral bankruptcy of people.

The reason for the latter is clear - the suppression and/or marginalization of western moral codes such as Christianity which derived from Judaism and once loosely regulated society, e.g. in the area of marriage and this disappearance is now complete for a whole Generation Y.

The greatest problem is the blurring of the distinction between state sanctioned high church and real grassroots belief to the point where "love thy neighbour" and countless other expressions, which were part of the lexicon, even if people never followed the precepts have now all but disappeared and all that is left is the ritualistic shell of pontificating.

No historian worth his salt would try to argue that earlier ages were better - it's a litany of war, conquest and oppression. But to ascribe this to G-d is to blame the Jews for all Germany's between wars ills - absolute tosh except at the Rothschild level.

Britain has never been a particularly spiritual nation and yet there was always this undercurrent and lip service paid to the precepts of Christianity.

Not any more. Observe society today.
